Profile Bio
Having trained as an Actor in London, then with  the Royal Shakespeare Company Learning and Development Team and the School of Storytelling, Sarah Jane combines RSC rehearsal room pedagogy with the rich traditions of oral storytelling to deliver engaging workshops and interactive events for schools, community groups, and corporate organisations. At the centre of every workshop is a collaborative, rehearsal room approach that encourages participants to explore stories, texts, and topics in an active and creative way. While the workshops draw on rehearsal room techniques, they are not focused on performance. Instead, they are designed to foster understanding, connection, confidence and creativity, enabling participants to engage deeply with the subject matter while developing their own ideas and voice. Workshops can be tailored to suit a variety of settings and group sizes, from two-hour sessions to full-day experiences, and from small groups to whole-class participation. Depending on the size and needs of the group, Sarah can work independently or alongside a teacher or teaching assistant. For larger groups, or where additional support is beneficial, Sarah also collaborates with Louise Hartog, a multidisciplinary early years specialist, ensuring that every participant can be fully engaged and supported throughout the workshop experience.
