'Campfire Sam' Crosby

Wild guide, storyteller and founder of Recalling Fire. For Sam, storytelling isn’t performance. It’s ‘life’s work’, an imperative to meet the collective crisis of meaning in our modern world. It could be a sharp introduction to ancient myth, or an instalment of his multi-night telling of ‘Loyalty, Lunacy and Lust’ at King Arthur’s court. Whatever the encounter, Sam’s invitation to participants is to dare themselves deeper. Inviting myth, elderhood and collective meaning making into the everyday. Sam works with communities, small private groups in wild places and organisations to evoke hope, opportunity and – most importantly – courage for the path ahead.
