ABOUT Danielle is a storyteller and oral historian devoted to uncovering the voices of lesser-known historical women, breathing life into their stories, and weaving them into the present. Her research and performances celebrate the courage and complexity of these figures, ensuring their legacies are no longer whispers but resounding echoes. Danielle has trained with many well known and professional storytellers, such as Michael Harvey, Katy Cawkwell and Ben Haggarty. She was also awarded a place on a Mentorship Scheme hosted by storytelling production company, Adverse Camber, and is supported in her passion of storytelling through Art Council England’s DYCP funding where she’s being mentored by beloved British storyteller, Daniel Morden, and BAFTA Award Winning comedy writer, Dave Cohen. She’s performed in schools, universities, libraries, cafes & bars, as well as at Get A Word in Edgeways Festival, Oxford Storytelling Festival, A Sting in The Tale Club, FOFF Festival, and Shrewsbury Pride.  With an MA in Celtic Studies, Danielle’s fascination with oral tradition and Celtic history runs deep. Her dissertation on the representation of Celtic women laid the foundation for her first major show, ‘The Conditions for Courage (2025)’, which spotlights the bravery and resilience of women throughout history. While she adores whimsical myths and enchanting folktales, it is the voices of forgotten historical women that call to her most strongly, urging her to give them their place in the narrative once more. As well as her Masters, Danielle also has a BA Hons in English Literature and Media Studies. She’s an Assistant Writer for Spark Young Writers (Writing West Midlands) and is a prize winning writer – her short story, A Jacket Full of Pockets, won the ‘Birmingham City University Future Writers presents Benjamin Zephaniah’ competition. Danielle’s flash fiction, short stories and poetry have also been published in various anthologies. SPOKEN STORIES STORYTELLING CLUB Danielle runs a Young Storytellers Storytelling Club called ‘Spoken Stories’, which is currently being funded by Shropshire Council & Shrewsbury Library. Spoken Stories is fun, engaging oral storytelling club designed to build confidence, courage, and oracy skills in children through the magical art of spoken stories. This group is perfect for children who are struggling with reading & writing, as storytelling blurs these worlds. These groups are also brilliant for budding storytellers, confident performers, and even quiet thinkers who don’t feel they have much to say. Our hope is that by December, the children will feel confident in finding their voice & will have a desire to find and tell stories! This club is available as one-off full/half day workshops in schools and educational settings, and can also be booked as a weekly, termly session (location dependent).  “Danielle’s visit at the school was nothing short of magical. She held the attention of every child in the room with a spellbinding performance that blended voice, gesture, and imagination into a seamless tapestry of storytelling. Her ability to create vivid worlds and compelling characters with nothing more than words was truly remarkable. From the moment she began, Danielle’s presence was warm and engaging. She didn’t just tell a story, she lived it and invited the children to live it with her. Her pacing was perfect, her tone expressive, and her timing impeccable: guiding the children to vividly paint their own world experiences and imaginations into the story. The children were riveted, leaning forward, eyes wide, completely immersed in the unfolding tale. Even the most restless pupils were quicklydrawn in, captivated by the rhythm and drama of her narrative.” – Geoff Hannan, Educational Consultant & Trainer
