GOSH!

GOSH is a free, online peer support group for traditional, oral storytellers who are in the middle of their journey. The part where you’re earning a bit of income, your skills are improving, but progress is often unpredictable and slow.

In the world of story you’re in the beginning of the middle. You’ve been given a loaf of bread and an enchanted item for the journey, but now you’re lost deep in the dark woods, hoping to find the wise woman.

We can be your wise folk – though truth be told we’re none the wiser! This is what GOSH! is about – supporting each other, swapping skills, sharing knowledge and practicing our stories around our virtual campfire.

GOSH! meets at 7:30pm on the last Friday of every month. We are a supportive space for developing storytellers who are keen to learn and share knowledge on all aspects of storytelling and self-employment. Discussion topics are decided by members but include wide ranging subjects as:

– story development

– performance techniques

– pricing, contracts and funding

– navigating schools and festivals

– finding and booking venues

– managing time and balancing commitments

– dealing with creative blocks and burnout.
