Christine Willison, currently chair of SFS, is a storyteller, writer and artist. Until 2011 she was County Arts Officer for Pembrokeshire, previously Arts Development Officer for Torfaen in the south Wales valleys. She moved to Wales from Manchester where she was Artistic Director of Community Arts Northwest. Prior to that she was Artistic Director of the Berkshire Literature Festival, General Manager of Norwich Puppet Theatre and Creator and Director of “Bookbug” a children's literature project.
Alongside all these roles, for over 25 years she has been telling stories in schools, museums, arts centres and at festivals. Notably Glastonbury Festival where she has been a regular since the eighties, Austin International Poetry Festival, Bath Literature Festival, Rainbow Serpent Festival in Australia.
She is keen to continue the development of SFS including developing members services and making international links.
