The art of storytelling has come a long way since tales were passed on from family member to family member all those years ago. And, naturally, for a medium that has adapted with the times so easily, and given that recording a story being told can be simple as pressing play on a dictaphone, it’s not surprising that tales are being told through the very 21st century medium of the podcast. Fortunately, there is a whole slew of storytelling courses out there on a range of subjects that can get you looking at your practice in an entirely different way, and can rejuvenate those who have got themselves into a creative rut. We’ll outline just a few of those being run in the near future, and hope that you might be tempted to sign up, whatever your level of expertise.

Storytelling For Life

A new book about why stories matter and the ways of telling them by storyteller Josie Felce is now out, published by Floris Books at £14.99.

This book is inspiring, easy to read and relates the experiences of the author of how and why storytelling really can bring emotional development, or emotional literacy, to children. More than that, we constantly need stories to help us on our life journey!
